1976
The start of a tradition
Herbert J. Hinves concludes his frenetic professional activity in the City of London to dedicate himself to the patronage of music.
1978
The adventure begins
Jonathan Hinves establishes himself as a luthier in Granada and within a few years achieves international recognition.
1991
Pianissimo
The restoration workshop is created and commercial activity begins with the opening of the first showroom of restored pianos.
2000
The challenge of the 21st century
Pianissimo sets the benchmark for the piano in Andalusia with the inauguration of new facilities in Granada.
2007
Internationalisation
Steinway & Sons selects the Hinves family as its official representative in the south of Spain.
2011
Hinves pianos
The Hinves surname, a symbol of both quality and trust, becomes a brand name following 20 years of trading as “Pianissimo”.
2013
Nationalisation
Steinway & Sons awards Hinves a license for its brand for the rest of the national territory and establishes new headquarters in Madrid.
2018
A new location
Hinves opens a new venue. An area in excess of 1,400 m2 in the centre of Madrid dedicated exclusively to the piano world.
2021
The family grows
Hinves opens a new office in Bilbao. With this new showroom, Hinves brings its services closer to the northern part of the country.

MA in Tuning and Piano Technology from the prestigious NBSS University in Boston (USA), additional training at Steinway & Sons Hamburg and at EAE in Madrid.
COO & Owner
Steinway & Sons Official Technician.
Trained in piano tuning, maintenance and restoration in Newark, England and at Stainway & Sons Hamburg. He is the technician requested in Spain by artists such as Grigory Sokolov or Leif Ove Andsnes.
Marketing Manager

Degree in Communication from the Granada ESCO (Postgraduate School of Communication and Marketing). A Master’s degree in Event Marketing and Management from the Complutense University in Madrid. A Master’s degree in Executive Production from TRACOR in Madrid and in Musical and Piano Studies.
PR & Artist Manager
He has played in the most prestigious halls in the world including Carnegie Hall where he made his debut with Sony Classical. At the same time, in recent years, he has developed an intense activity as a musical ambassador which attracts the most prominent performers in the artistic panorama.

Assistant Tuning Technician.
Trained in piano maintenance, tuning and restoration in Edinburgh, Scotland and at Steinway & Sons, Hamburg. He has over 30 years of professional experience. He currently works as a partner at Hinves to assist both private and professional clients, whilst he also provides technical maintenance for concert halls and auditoriums as well as professional and advanced music colleges across Andalusia.

Técnico Afinador Colaborador.
Formada en la Western University en Ontario (Canadá) en los estudios de Tecnología de Piano, donde se especializó en afinación, regulación y restauración. Tiene más de 8 años de experiencia como técnico trabajando en Colorado, New Jersey (EE.UU.), Irlanda y España. Presta servicio como colaboradora en Hinves para la revisión, seguimiento, control de calidad y mantenimiento de los pianos en la exposición de Madrid y del centro de restauración de la misma sede.

Trained in piano tuning, maintenance and restoration in Newark, England and has over fifteen years of professional experience. She is currently working as a partner at Hinves for evaluation, monitoring, quality control and servicing pianos at the Andalusian showroom and at the restoration workshop.

He has over 30 years of professional experience as a technician, and currently collaborates with Hinves in preparing pianos for concerts and the instruments at the Madrid showroom.

Assistant Tuning Technician.
Diploma in maintenance, tuning and restoring pianos from London Guildford University. He has studied at both the Yamaha Academy in Hamamatsu, Japan, and at Steinway Sons in Hamburg, and has over 20 years of experience. He currently collaborates with Hinves evaluating and servicing pianos at the Madrid showroom and works in after-sales service.

Assistant Tuning Technician.
He has over 30 years of professional experience and was awarded a diploma from the Yamaha Academy in Hamamatsu, Japan. He has worked for Steinway NY. He currently collaborates with Hinves in preparing pianos for concerts and the instruments at the Madrid showroom.

Técnico Afinador Colaborador. Certificado European Technician Degree I (EPTD). Cuenta con más de 30 años de experiencia laboral. Actualmente colabora con Hinves en la preparación de pianos para venta y alquiler así como en la reparación en taller, llevando mantenimiento y servicio técnico para conservatorios, particulares y clientes profesionales.
